Pumpkin Cupcakes

  • Prep Time: 15 Minutes (Total Time: 35 Minutes)
  • Serving Size: 24
  • 1 pkg. (2-layer size) White Cake Mix
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp. KOOL-AID Orange Flavor Sugar-Sweetened Soft Drink Mix, Divided
  • 1 container (16 oz.) Ready-to-spread Vanilla Frosting
  • 1 tablespoon Decorating Icing
  • Assorted Halloween Candies
  • PREPARE cake batter as directed on package; blend in 1/4 cup of the dry soft drink mix. Pour evenly into 24 paper-lined medium muffin cups.

    BAKE as directed on package for cupcakes. Cool completely.

    MIX frosting and 1 Tbsp. of the remaining dry soft drink mix; spread onto cupcakes. Decorate as desired to resemble pumpkins or jack-o'-lanterns, using remaining 1 Tbsp. dry soft drink mix, decorating icing and candies.


    Make it Easy

    Hereís a tip to make whipping up a batch of cupcakes easier. Pour the cake batter into a large resealable plastic bag. Snip off one corner from the bottom of the bag, then squeeze the batter into the prepared muffin cups. Itís much quicker and less messy than spooning the batter into the muffin cups.
