Apple-raisin Cobbler

  • Prep Time: 30 Minutes (Total Time: 1 Hour)
  • Serving Size: 8
  • 6 cups Thinly Sliced Peeled Apples
  • 2/3 cup Sugar
  • 3 tablespoons MINUTE Tapioca
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/3 cup Raisins
  • 6 tablespoons Butter Or Margarine, Divided
  • 3/4 cup Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon CALUMET Baking Powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 tablespoons Milk
  • MIX apples, 2/3 cup sugar, tapioca, cinnamon, nutmeg and water in large saucepan. Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to full boil. Pour into 2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle with raisins. Dot with 2 Tbsp. of the butter.

    CUT remaining butter into flour, 2 Tbsp. sugar, baking powder and salt until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk until soft dough forms. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto hot apple mixture.

    BAKE at 375°ï¿½F for 30 minutes or until topping is golden. Serve warm.
